The Hamilton County Master Gardener’s are holding their annual sale at the Hamilton County 4-H Grounds. Plants will be for sale at very reasonable costs.
The primary initiative the Westfield in Bloom Community Committee is participation in Plant a Row for the Hungry. Plant a Row (PAR) is rooted in the gardeners’ tradition of sharing bountiful harvest with others. The plan is simple—we ask you to plant an additional row of vegetables, fruits, or herbs in your garden and deliver the harvest to a drop-off point near you. Members of the Ameriana Bank Team or Westfield in Bloom committee will pick up and deliver daily the donated produce to Third Phase or Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which are the chosen local food pantries. The local reports for Hamilton County show well over 10,530 citizens who find themselves in need of assistance. Through Plant a Row, citizens are able to truly be a part of their community and help those in need
